How to export contacts on Android 9?

If you want to transfer your contacts from your Android phone to another device, or for manually transferring for backup purposes, you can easily do it without any backup apps but by just using a feature that's built-in on Android.

Here's how to export your contacts on Android 9 -

1. First, open the Contacts app on your Android device.

2. Next, tap on the three horizontal lines on the top-left of the Contacts app.

3. The sidebar menu will open.

4. Now tap on Settings

5. The settings page will now open looking similar to the screenshot below.

6. Scroll down the settings page and tap on the Export option.

7. Now click on Save if you want to save the contacts file to the default Downloads folder.

8. Or if you want to save to cloud storage like Google Drive, tap on the three bars on the top-left.

9. Now tap on Drive.

10. After the drive page opens, tap on Save

All your saved contacts from your phone will be exported to the contacts.vcf file and you can import it on any other phone.
